25 & 26 August 2018 Newcastle NSW:
People living with haemochromatosis, their families, researchers and health professionals will gather together in Newcastle for one weekend in August to talk about the past, present and future of haemochromatosis. The 3rd Biennial Australasian Haemochromatosis Conference is on over the weekend of 25 & 26 August 2018 in Newcastle, NSW.
The program will offer a varied mix of presentations, discussion and question and answer sessions. While there will be some specialised sessions for health professionals and researchers, the majority of sessions will involve the entire group. This mix of health professionals, researchers and ‘patient’ proved fruitful at previous conferences as each group learnt from the other and shared their varied viewpoints. This was evident both during formal sessions and in the discussions and conversations during breaks. Many people commented they felt the conference was unique and highly successful because of this blend of participants from different walks of life.
