Ellen Hubble, a Wonthaggi local, is organising a ‘Community Contradance’ to help raise awareness of haemochromatosis in the local community – and have a lot of fun of course!
Featuring Bluegrass and Old Time Live Music with the Bass Coast Pickers , The HillWilliams and dance caller Maggie Duncan and the Chestnut Street orchestra.
The event is themed ‘Tick the Box’ to encourage people to have their GP tick the ‘iron studies’ box on their next blood test. Haemochromatosis is the most common genetic condition in Australia but is easily detected and treated.
Bring a partner, family or friend and join a great community event, dance the night away to great music and support a worthy cause.
