Australia is going red as some of our well-known buildings and landmarks including the MCG and AAMI Stadium in Melbourne, Brisbane’s Story Bridge, Sydney’s Bankwest Stadium, Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, the National Carillon, Canberra, Trafalgar Bridge, Perth and many more light up red for World Haemochromatosis Week. Even the Big Banana at Coffs Harbour will switch colour for us. You can find a full list on our website here.

You can help spread the word about Painting Australia Red on social media. Take a photo of a red-lit location in your town and post it to your favourite social media. Remember to like and follow our pages. Please @mention us (@haemochromatosis – Facebook, @haemochromatosisAustralia – Instagram, @HaemAus – Twitter) so we can see your posts. Remember to use #WHW2021.

We will be running a competition to reward your efforts with three randomly selected posts receiving a gift. You don’t have to be a great photographer – just have a go.
